What PixVid collects, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept.

Last updated 2026-08-11

Draft. PixVid is in private preview and this document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how the product actually behaves today, but it is not a final agreement. Paid plans are not enabled, so no billing terms are in force yet.

1. What we collect

Account data. Your email address and a hash of your password. We never store your password itself. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and profile name from Google.

What you create. The ideas, scripts, entity descriptions and scene prompts you type; the voiceover audio, generated clips, captions and finished videos produced from them; and the credit transactions attached to each generation.

Usage data. Pages viewed, features used, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, and the marketing parameters present when you first arrived.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal data in prompts.

2. Why we use it

To run the service (generate what you asked for, keep your projects, charge and refund credits), to send transactional email such as verification and password resets, to detect abuse and enforce our terms, and to understand which parts of the product are actually used so we can decide what to build next.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your prompts or outputs to train models of our own.

3. Who else processes it

Generation is not local. To produce a video, your prompt text and any reference media are sent to the providers below. Each acts as our processor for that purpose.

ProviderPurposeData involved

These providers operate in several countries, so using PixVid involves transferring your data internationally. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.

4. How long we keep it

Projects, generated media and credit records are kept while your account exists, because the product is built around coming back to a project later. Delete a project and its media becomes unreachable from the app and is removed from storage.

Deleting your account removes your sign-in credentials so you can no longer log in, and strips your email and profile from our records. Your generation and credit history is kept in anonymized form, because it is the evidence trail for billing disputes — it is no longer linked to an identifiable person.

Generated files stop being reachable from the app at that point. Purging them from object storage is currently a manual step on our side rather than an automatic one; email us and we will do it. Aggregate analytics that cannot identify you may remain, and backups may retain copies for a short period before rotating out.

5. Your choices

You can access and correct your account details in the product, export or delete individual projects, and ask us to delete your account entirely. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, restrict it, or lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Analytics and cookie choices are covered in our cookie policy.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions are carried in a signed HTTP-only cookie, and generated media is served from our own storage rather than from provider URLs that expire. Access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users if a breach requires it.
